The moon was my initial source of inspiration, as noted in the previous poem of El Diario de un Lunatico. Its light is not just a physical glow but also a symbol of my entire journey through this world. In this poem, I explore this light in detail, describing the Where, When, and How. The light at the end helps me find eternal peace within me.
The poem was originally written in Spanish, which is attached at the bottom. Although I’ve preferred to place it at the top, since most of my readers are English speakers, I’ve made a compromise.

The Light (Translated Version)
***
That’s from today…
Because I don’t want this…
I don’t want anything more—
I want to be…
I want to feel…
I want to sit and simply exist!
But where? And how? And when?
***
Where?
On the beach
where the sea guards our intimate secrets…
Or better yet, in the mountains…
where inspiration arrives from afar.
You know what… in both.
***
How?
Calmly… sitting… in the palms… with open palms toward the universe.
There’s no light…
But wait…
Yes, there is light…
A gentle light that illuminates the whole world and clears all doubts.
***
When?
When the moon is full…
The light travels from east to west… crossing seas and mountains,
From the Caribbean to the Great Ancient Wall of China.
***
All this seems like witchcraft.
Sometimes I feel I can’t bear it anymore,
But the light gives me strength, resilience, and hope.
***
Hope for a better world… with the promise of a new dawn.
Resilience for a world still yet in motion… a world that moves and then rests.
Strength from an ancient world that has suffered, but ultimately reached the destiny it always believed in.
***
In the end, I want to lie down between earth and sky,
Wrapped in eternal peace, external and internal…
La Luz (Versión Original)
***
Eso es de hoy…
Porque no quiero esto…
no quiero algo más
¡Quiero estar…
Quiero sentir…
¡Quiero sentarme y ser!
¿Pero dónde ? ¿Y cómo? ¿Y cuándo?
---
¿Dónde?
En la playa
donde el mar guarda nuestros secretos íntimos…
o mejor en la montaña…
donde la inspiración viene desde muy lejos
Sabes que…
en los dos
---

Your poem is a quiet plea for stillness, a search for a place where the soul can finally rest. It moves between oceans and mountains, darkness and light, longing and hope, trying to find a moment where simply existing is enough.
This is a quiet awakening, the longing to simply be becomes a doorway. Sitting with open palms, feeling the light cross seas and mountains, you touch what Vedanta calls Brahman: infinite, unbounded awareness illuminating all without effort. Hope, resilience, and strength arise naturally here, not as things to earn, but as reflections of the self remembering it was never separate from the whole. Lying between earth and sky, wrapped in that gentle, pervasive light, you become both witness and cosmos, the eternal and the immediate intertwined.
